Disseminated Necrotizing Leukoencephalopathy is a manifestation of the toxic effects of radiation and intrathecal chemotherapy, and is usually seen in children.

Imaging features include both loss of white matter and abnormal signal usually at the gray-white junction. There may be enhancement, and there is usually calcification and/or mineralization accounting for T1 shortening on both T1 and T2 weighted sequences.
