Dysembryoplastic Neuroepithelial tumors are thought to arise from the external granular layer of the cortex.

They are frequently found in the cortex and temporal lobe and may present with partial complex seizures.

Usually a stable lesion without edema. There may be scalloping of the adjacent bony cortex.

There may be cysts as seen in this case. 20%-50% of cases will enhance.
