44 yof with pineocytoma.

Patients frequently present with hydrocephalus or Parinaud's syndrome (upward gaze palsy).

Pineocytoma is a tumor of middle age and adult patients. There is not the sex predilection as seen with germ cell tumors. They are usually solid and enhancing.

There is a wide range of aggressiveness with well and poorly differentiated tumors.

The differential includes: germ cell tumors, pineal cell tumors (pineocytoma and pineoblastoma), meningioma, exophytic gliomas, and mets.
