Supratentorial ependymomas = 20-40% of childhood ependymomas

Males>females

Peak incidence 1-5 yrs

Presentation dependent upon location

Headache, seizures most common

Frontal lobe most common

Imaging

CT

Foci of Ca++ seen >50%

Areas of cavitation common

MR

Main feature = heterogeneity on T1, T2, and post-gad imaging

Ca++

Cysts +/- hemorrhage
