Craniopharyngioma
Rathke’s Cleft Cyst
Dermoid Cyst
Physiologic change of pregnancy
Lipoma
Ectopic neurohypophyseal tissue.
Occasionally seen at the time of diagnosis
Typically small and subclinical
Possible increased incidence with bromocriptine therapy
Variable pattern on imaging.
Acute clinical event
Active bleeding and/or acute infarction causes sudden enlargement of tumor
Rapid development of visual impairment and endocrine dysfunction
Severe headache
Sheehan Syndrome: postpartum infarction of anterior pituitary gland.
