Lower cranial nerve schwannoma.

Schwannomas of the cranial nerves in decreasing order: 8th, 5th, 7th, 12th. CN 9, 10, 11 schwannomas are rare.

Surprisingly, lower cranial nerve schwannomas frequently present with hearing loss instead of lower cranial nerve symptoms from the mass effect.

They may present with smooth expansion of the jugular foramen.
