Components

Skull and Dura: large posterior fossa, high tentorial insertion

Ventricles and CSF spaces: 4th ventricle open dorsally in continuity with a large posterior fossa cyst, hydrocephalus (80%)

Cerebellum, Vermis and Brain Stem: Hypoplasia of vermis and cerebellar hemispheres (variable)

Associated Anomalies: Callosal agenesis (20-25%), heterotopias.

Mild inferior vermian hypoplasia

Variably sized cystic space communicates with 4th ventricle (“keyhole deformity”)

Posterior fossa normal in size.
