Sturge-Weber syndrome (encephalotrigeminal angiomatosis) is a congenital, sporadic anomaly. The underlying pathology is a venous vasculopathy with progressive chronic venous ishemia.

CT's display Tram-track calcifications in older age patients. Other findings of leptomeningeal enhancement, choroid plexus enlargement, atrophy, and brainstem involvement may occur. Involvement occipital>parietal>frontal.

May occasionally be mistaken for an AVM on angiography.
